Wedding

Our Weddings!

Imagine getting married at the "top of the world". At 2300 feet in the Green Mountains Cooper Hill Inn Offers the most spectacular setting for a wedding or anywhere in Southern Vermont.

We do not have packages because every wedding is unique. We have held weddings at Cooper hill of from 12 to 220 people in the past five years. The Inn sleeps 26 and destination weddings of up to 40 people can be accommodated in out dining room. We have a wonderful sunset deck off the dining room that expands our usable area and makes a nice dance floor on a starlit summer night! Wedding that are larger are held outside in a tent. If you like, we can handle all of the details such as the tent, linens, flowers etc.

The cost of the tent will vary with who you use and how elaborate a set up you want. Alternatively, we can refer you to local suppliers and you can make the arrangements yourself. If you are from the area you may know certain people that you would like to work with. We may be able to give you suggestions that will help keep the costs down.

We usually cater the wedding and can provide a wide variety of food. In addition to traditional wedding fare such as Fillet Mignon or roast beef, chicken, fish, and pasta dishes, we can also offer interesting dishes from our backgrounds which include many years in Asia. You can see many of the menu items we have done in the past four years at http://www.cooperhillinn.com/wedmenu.html. Appetizers will run from $6.00 up and a nice reception dinner will cost from about $35 plus 10% tax & 20% service on up, depending upon the type of items that you select. We also have a full liquor license. We can offer a barbeque for the rehearsal dinner should you wish to have it at the Inn or a Sunday Brunch before your guests depart.

We have ten beautiful acres on top of Cooper Hill and are surrounded by 15,000 acres of town woods and national forest. We have an unobstructed view for over 100 miles into New Hampshire and Massachusetts with Mount Monadnock featuring prominently on the horizon. Some couples like to have the ceremony in the meadow and some prefer the intimacy of the rock garden which is surrounded by old maples. The rock garden is full of flowers which vary from season to season.

Most weddings are in the summer Cool and we usually ask that the wedding sell out our Inn for two nights. But usually is not always Wink and we have had weddings for 12 people in mid-winter with a ceremony by the fireplace and we enjoyed it very much. We have five standard rooms, three two-room family suites (that are very good for families with children) and two premium suites with Jacuzzis and a balcony. The rates would be the ones posted on our website. You can book all the rooms yourself or have your guests call us directly. We request that you provide a list of who you would like to stay at Cooper Hill. We can then refer additional guests to other Inns nearby.

There is a large common room adjacent to the premium suites that is frequently used for dressing on the wedding day. This room is somewhat unique in that you can often see the moon rise out the windows on the eastern side while the sun is setting over Mount Snow out of the windows facing west. We have a big screen satellite TV in this room and we have Wi-Fi throughout the Inn. The common room also often serves as a gathering place for the after party, party.

We do 8-10 weddings at the Inn each year. The Inn becomes your country home for that weekend and the atmosphere is relaxed and intimate. We work very closely with the wedding couple and do everything we can to give them the wedding they want rather than any packaged idea of what a wedding should be like.

Call us at 1 (800) 783-3229 to help plan your special event, or please visit the Inn personally to enjoy the truly unique setting we have to offer.
